Repair Operations Manager - Los Angeles Plant
10 yrs + hands on experience with large motors to 5,000 Hp 4160V, ball and sleeve bearing, balancing, some machine work knowledge, vertical motors with thrust bearings, field service. Previous hands-on experience with mechanical and winding work required. AC, DC, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, brakes, and various other driven equipment. Familiarity with vibration analysis, winding redesign.
People Skills very important. Must be comfortable communicating with customers both on the phone and in person - that is a big part of the position.
Plant technicians, shift foremen, customer service manager, and buyer all report to this position.
Responsible for safety, Repair Operations Profitability, accurately quoting repair jobs to maintain target gross profit, quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and scheduling.
Great step up opportunity to move up the ladder into management for a skilled mechanic wanting to motivate-train-manage other mechanics and communicate with customers. You will assist and act as the right hand man for the plant manager and serve as his backup.

Machinist with own basic tools (dial indicators, 1-3" micrometers, sockets, etc.) with experience in lathes and vertical milling machines. Must be able to make own set-ups in 4 jaw chucks. Basic stick Arc-Welding, Heli-Arc Welding a plus.
